Jeremiah 20:10-12

New American Standard Bible

¹⁰ For ^(A)I have heard the whispering of many,
“^(B)Terror on every side!
^(C)Denounce him; let’s denounce him!”
^[a]All my ^(D)trusted friends,
Watching for my fall, say:
“Perhaps he will be persuaded, so that we may ^(E)prevail against him
And take our revenge on him.”
¹¹ But the ^(F)Lord is with me like a powerful champion;
Therefore my ^(G)persecutors will stumble and not prevail.
They will be put to great shame because they have ^[b]failed,
An ^(H)everlasting disgrace that will not be forgotten.
¹² Yet, Lord of armies, who ^(I)tests the righteous,
Who sees the ^[c]mind and the heart;
Let me ^(J)see Your vengeance on them,
For ^(K)to You I have disclosed my cause.
